When is an Accessible portable restroom required?
Accessible restrooms are required at any public event, construction site, or commercial property where the public or employees have access. The Accessible requires that at least 5% of portable restrooms (minimum one unit) be wheelchair accessible.
What makes a portable restroom Accessible?
Accessible units feature extra-wide doorways (min. 32" clear width), spacious interiors for wheelchair turning radius, interior grab bars, non-slip flooring, and ground-level entry with no step threshold.
How many Accessible units do I need for my event?
The general rule is at least 5% of your total portable restrooms must be wheelchair-accessible, with a minimum of one unit. For larger events, contact us for a custom recommendation based on your guest count and venue layout.
Can Accessible units be placed on uneven ground?
Our delivery team will level the unit on-site using shims and ensure the entry ramp provides safe, accessible entry. We recommend a firm, flat surface for best results, but we can accommodate most terrain.
What servicing is included with Accessible rentals?
All Accessible rentals include weekly pump-out, interior cleaning, restocking of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and a condition inspection. Additional servicing is available for high-traffic events.
